How to Download (Step-by-Step)
Follow these simple steps to get your card on your phone or computer:
- Click the Link: Open the Samarth Student Portal link given above.
- Login: Enter your Enrollment Number and Password.
- Note: If you have forgotten your password, click on the “Forgot Password” button. You will get an OTP on your registered email or mobile number to reset it.
- Open Dashboard: Once you log in, you will see your student dashboard. Look for the menu on the left side (or the “Services” tab if you are on mobile).
- Find “Services”: Click on the “Services” option.
- Select ID Card: Scroll down until you see a box labeled “Download ID Card”. Click on it.
- Download File: Click the green “Download ID Card” button. A PDF file will be saved to your device.
What is the Password for the PDF?
When you try to open the downloaded IGNOU ID Card PDF file, it will ask for a password. Many students get stuck here.
The password is your Enrollment Number.

If you have officially changed your address through the online portal, you can download your ID card again after the request is approved. Your updated address will appear on the new card. but it may time taken.
